Global Survey: Help shape a framework to recast the relationship between Business and Democracy

As a business and thought leader, we need your help to discover how to build a better relationship between business and democracy. The survey below poses some short but key questions on how business can develop its legitimate voice on democratic issues and work to promote shared values to guide decision-making.

We understand that the terms "business" and "democracy" encompass various forms and types. At this stage of the Commission, our focus is specifically on liberal democracies in the global north. We are interested in hearing your thoughts on both large multinational corporations and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Thank you for your thoughtful contributions to this important work.

Chaired by Sir Ian Cheshire, Chairman of Channel 4 and Landsec the Business and Democracy Commission is an ambitious initiative led by Jericho, supported by Ipsos and Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), to help recast the relationship between business and democracy.

The Interim report, explores the key challenges in the evolving relationship between business and democracy. It outlines why business and democracy rely on each other, and sets out some of the key challenges and opportunities for business along with the potential risks of doing nothing.

Now in the second stage, the commission aims to present actionable ideas to help fix or at least start to fix, the relationship between business and democracy.

Responses to this survey will be anonymised and will contribute to the findings in the final report which we hope to publish towards the end of 2024.
